Getting There
PLEASE NOTE: There are major road works occurring along Hackney road. Please allow extra time, especially if driving. If you are travelling west towards the city on North Terrace, right turns onto Hackney Road are not permitted, which may not be reflected on vehicular navigation units. You will need to turn left on to Dequetteville Terrace, and then go around the block (via Rundle Road, then East Terrace, then North Terrace/Botanic Road), and then turn left onto Hackney Road (as you are exiting the city) to reach the Garden. See the map at the bottom of this page for clarification.
Option 1: Public Transport
You can take the City Connector bus for free from many stops within North Adelaide (Route 98C) and the CBD (Route 98/99C). Get off at stop I1 or B1 (clockwise loop) or stop Y1 or R2 (anticlockwise loop). From these stops it is approximately a 200m walk along Botanic Road to the National Wine Centre. For timetable information, call 1 800-182-160 or visit the Adelaide Metro website.
For public transportation from outside of the CBD or North Adelaide, use the planning tool available from Adelaide Metro to plan your route. A single peak-time adult Metroticket costs $5.30.
